Day 3 was spent at MoMA, the museum of modern art. My mom and I met my sister and her boyfriend Eric there.
We made Eric stand on the step below us because he is about 6’7” tall.
We wandered through the museum and admired all of the different pieces of art.
My favorite exhibit was definitely Monet. His work is unbelievably stunning and has such a depth of perception.
I want the long piece for my house!
After working up an appetite from walking around, we headed to the restaurant next to MoMA called The Modern and sat in the bar.
We ordered quite a few dishes and split them.
White bean soup w/ smoky potato and crispy lentils
Wild mushroom soup
Upside down tuna tarte
Fresh grilled shrimp
Grilled diver scallops
Later that night we headed to dinner to celebrate my sister’s official 30th birthday at Gramercy Tavern.
I had heard incredible things about Gramercy Tavern so I was extremely excited to dine here. When we sat down we naturally ordered a bottle of wine.
Gramercy Tavern offers tasting menus in the dining room that make it much easier to decide.
For my first course I ordered the Spring Greens Salad:
As my second course I enjoyed the Sea Bass w/ yellow eyed peas, brussels sprouts, and butternut squash:
For dessert we split:
Apple tarte tatin:
Peanut Butter Semifreddo:
Lime meringue tart:
and they brought out two cookie plates to end the night:
On top of all of this food, they give you a muffin to take with you to enjoy the next day:
Not to mention we enjoyed Moscato with dessert.
At one point our table looked like this:

New York at night:
The next day we headed back to Arizona for what would be one of the longest days of my life!
I had such an amazing time, as I always do. Every time I travel to New York is serves as a reminder to how much I love it.
