Chazz Reinhold loves meatloaf. I, obviously, do not.
There is just something about this lentil loaf that screams Fall. Possibly the shredded pear and added cherries. Or, it may be the dash of cinnamon and nutmeg that really ties in the flavors of the holidays. Not to mention, it is slathered in a spiced pumpkin bbq sauce.
Either way, I think our veteran wedding crasher Chazz would gladly swap out his beloved meatloaf for this Lentil Loaf.
I have to admit, I was so excited to test out this recipe that I forgot to take half of the photos that I had planned to. Oops. I had gotten the idea almost two years ago when I was talking with a friend about how disgusting meatloaf is. We began brainstorming ways to make it delicious and I, of course, prevailed. This is great as a side dish to your meal but it definitely deserves the main spotlight. Just try to not drink the bbq sauce 😉
