Hey Everyone! I hope you enjoyed your Sunday as much as I did. Unfortunately, I wish I would’ve had more time to enjoy it. It seriously went from being 12 PM to 9:30 PM. How the? Who knows. Anyway, I woke up this morning and took my roommate for a walk before it got too hot. By the time we got back home I received a text from my Mom asking me if I wanted to have a lunch date at True Foods. I met my mom, my sister, and my cousin there for a quick lunch with plans to purchase a laptop after (more on that later).
On the way there I picked up this baby: Iced Coffee with soy milk and vanilla
I don’t know who I am anymore. I never drink coffee, ever, and lately I have been on a iced coffee kick. I need to get rid of this habit before it gets more serious!
For lunch, we ordered the hummus appetizer to split (naturally) and I ordered what is called the “Hangover Rx.”
This was super delicious and refreshing. It consisted of pineapple juice, coconut water, orange juice, and vanilla. Seriously, fresh vanilla flecks floating around and I drank every last bit of it. The vanilla flecks and coconut water gave it an almost creamsicle flavor. In other words, DELICIOUS.
For lunch I had my usual kale salad and miso soup:
After we finished lunch I headed over to the Apple store to purchase a laptop, FINALLY, and after much research and consideration. I have always used a Windows desktop so the idea of changing from a Windows to Mac was uneasy for me. Also, the idea of spending $2,000 on a laptop was enough of a reason for me to be sure to weigh my options. After all was said and done, Apple products are still the best that money can buy, the most bang for my buck, and it will pay itself off over time with all of its planned use.
I decided on a MacBook Pro 13” and received $100 off because I’m a student as well as a $100 App Store gift card. Bonus! I couldn’t wait to get home and play around with it.
After messing around with it for a little while, I was completely sold on the idea of a Mac and had already forgotten about my Windows desktop in the other room. All I need for it is a case, screen protector, mouse, and external hard drive.
Question: For all of you Mac bloggers out there, what program do you use to publish your posts? I want something that is very similar to Windows Live Writer.
Later that night, my cousin, sister, and I went to go see The Heat which is HILARIOUS and a must see!
Well, that is all for tonight. I am off to bed because I have to get up early tomorrow for work. Have an amazing night and I’m looking forward to reading all of your suggestions for alternatives to Windows Live Writer for Mac!
