Stripes & Fringe

Hey everyone!  I hope all of you made the most out of your day, regardless of it being Monday.  Not too much took place with me yesterday.  I woke up around 8:15am and headed to the gym for a quick HIIT workout.  I completed short bursts of alternated sprinting and jogging for 25 minutes.  After I was warmed up I did 3 sets of alternating burpees and mountain climbers.  After a quick and sweaty gym sesh I quickly showered and got ready for work.

Work Schmerk.  It was definitely a slow day which is always difficult considering the thoughts running through my mind are always how many other productive things I could be doing at the moment.

I snacked on a delicious orange:

and cilantro and jalapeno hummus with baby carrots:

Once it was time for lunch I decided to barely take a break because I was not that hungry.  I munched on a combination of leftovers:

Mexican Veggies [onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, tempeh sautéed with cumin, chili powder, cayenne, and cilantro] with Crimini Mushrooms in a White Wine Reduction Sauce.  It tastes much better than what it looks. ;)

This was yesterday’s casual outfit:

Necklace: Bebe [similar here] // Fringe Booties: ShoeDazzle “wandering” [here] // Striped Dress: Elizabeth & James [similar here and here]

I can’t believe those booties are only $11.99 now!  Ridiculous.  So ridiculous that you should get a pair, now.  This outfit is a true testament to how I dress.  I love high-end designers but it is not reasonable for my wallet to buy only high-end designers.  My favorite way to dress is mixing highs and lows.  This dress by Elizabeth and James is high, but the booties and necklace are low.  Catch my drift?

Moving right along.

After I got off of work I had only one thing on my mind and that was spending time with my boyfriend.  We decided to try out a restaurant we have been talking about and driving by.  It is called Grassroots Kitchen & Tap.

I ordered a Portobello mushroom sandwich with asparagus and he went with a blackened fish sandwich.  I washed mine down with a Firehouse Porter and he had a pale ale.

YUM!

Afterwards, we picked up Seven Psychopaths from Redbox and snuggled up on the couch for the rest of the night.

Yay, for iPhone pictures!

Seven Psychopaths was funny and disturbing, as expected from a movie called Seven Psychopaths.  I would watch it again, especially since it has such an amazing lineup for the cast! Colin Farrell (le duh!), Woody Harrelson, Christopher Walken (!), Sam Rockwell, Tom Waitts.  Amazing.

I have school early tomorrow morning so I have to wrap this up.  Enjoy your day and stay positive!

Something to make you think:

  1. SO fashionable! I could never pull off those boots, unless I had a personal stylist telling me how to wear them :)
